Who we are

2012

The Finstro business model is developed to provide accounts payable and receivable financing solutions to SMBs whose needs aren’t being met by Australian banks or non-bank lenders. The initial technology platform is built.

2014

Finstro is launched in Australia.

2019

The Finstro brand is established as Australia’s leading SMB Trade Payments company and continues to evolve. Finstro establishes its Manila offices and supports SMBs by providing Trade Payment financing.

2020-2021

Finstro supports SMBs through the COVID crisis and establishes strategic banking and technology partnerships in support of international expansion plans. New card and ERP integration-based technologies are integrated into the Finstro technology platform.

2021

Finstro launches its first app.

2022

Finstro opens the Denver, CO HQ office and launches in the US.

2023

Finstro Mastercard® (Australia), Finstro Visa (USA) and the MyFINSTRO app are launched enabling secure and seamless access to credit with extended terms and repayments.

2024

Finstro Credit Rating and tailored loan rates are introduced.

Scott Michael Marinchek

Chief Executive Officer

Scott has been a senior executive at Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch, Salomon Brothers and Zurich.

He has also served as Chairman, CEO, CFO, COO, CTO, director and strategic advisor for private equity backed and listed companies in the US, Europe and Australia.

Scott is a graduate of The Wharton School of Business.

Dustine Pang

Chief Financial Officer

Dustine is a finance and securitisation professional and has held senior finance, legal, and risk roles across private and publicly listed companies at eChoice, AIMS Financial Group, Merrill Lynch HSBC, BNP Paribas Equities Group, and Jardine Fleming Ord Minnett (now JP Morgan).

A chartered accountant, Dustine gained his audit experience with PwC and Deloitte, in London, Hong Kong, and Sydney. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA ANZ).

Stephen McKenzie

Chief Operating Officer

Stephen is a seasoned financial services executive with expertise spanning operations, finance, treasury, M&A, and general management. He has delivered industry-leading outcomes for clients, brokers, and stakeholders in senior roles at Yellow Brick Road Group, Aussie Home Loans, and major insurance organisations.

A Chartered Accountant (ICAA), Stephen holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment from FINSIA.

Katherine Squire

Chief Technology Officer

Katherine is a senior engineering and product executive with over 25 years of experience spanning financial markets, FinTech, and enterprise SaaS. She has held VP and GM-level technology leadership roles at Culture Amp, IRESS, Zendesk, Nasdaq and ASX, leading engineering and product groups across multiple countries.

Katherine brings deep expertise in engineering architecture, GenAI platform development, large-scale transformation programs and building high-performing technology teams. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Computer Science, First Class Honours) from UTS and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment.

Patricia Tan

Chief People Officer

Patricia Tan is an experienced people, operations and business leader with over 27 years across banking, financial services and fintech, having held senior positions at Citibank, Baycorp and BDO. She has led large-scale operations in the Philippines, including country leadership roles accountable for people, operations and business performance, and as a Six Sigma Green Belt brings a data-driven approach to operational excellence and leadership development.

Patricia leads the global people strategy and is focused on building a high-performing, values-driven culture that scales with the business. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Business.

David Keeling

Chief Risk Officer

David is an established banker and Credit Risk Manager with over 30 years global experience in International Banks, Domestic Banks, Non-Bank Specialist Funding and Structured Trade Finance and Fintechs.

David has a background in both Origination, and Credit Risk, work out and recovery, training and leading multi-cultural teams in both Australia with CBA, NAB. Investec and Bendigo Bank, and with Corporate Banks and Private Lenders in Australia and the UK. Experience in Corporate Finance, Transaction Banking/Trade Finance and distribution and Insurance with Capital Markets, and senior credit and risk roles in highly structured and specialised working capital finance.

Andrew Clements

Sales Director AU

Andrew is an accomplished commercial leader with extensive experience in the finance and sales industries, driving revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic business development.

He has held senior leadership roles across the sectors and served as a trusted advisor to some of Australia’s leading non-bank lenders.

Bryan Sawatzki

Sales Director US

Bryan has leadership experience in the Telecommunications, Finance, and Energy industries, and specializes in driving market penetration and leading new product launches for both enterprise and SMB markets in the US.

Bryan has provided leasing and energy related services to large enterprise clients for many years.
